Videos without a camera?

Videos appear all over the search resuts these days. You Tube being owned by Google is one reason, Yahoo Videos another. Videos are a great way to promote your site or affiliate link. The Search Engines give more ranking respect to many ( not all) video sites and a video can get ranked fast!

So uploading your video ( nicely tagged and described) can get you another ranking, or two or three, for your Keyword Phrase. Brilliant!

If the idea of creating a video fills you with terror relax! You don’t have to be a Scorsese or Tarantino and there’s so much free stuff out there now to help you that you’ll be amazed at what you can do.

More than that we’ll show you how to use somebody else’s video if you want - ooh cheeky!

Don’t forget that one of the principals we promote is the fact that even if hardly anyone watches your video or comes to your money page via that video as long as it is ranking above a competitor for you Keyword Phrase in the rankings i.e. elbowing them out of the rankings, it’s all good!

Free video stuff:

You might not be aware of this but chances are you already have Windows Movie Maker software if you run Windows XP or Vista. It’s very basic but basic’s good for us! Alternatively the web-based application. Many new computers also come with other video editing software included.

JumpCut (bought up by Yahoo last year) is really good online video editor simply upload your photos, fim clips, audio and edit them online.

Another free online resource is the Jing Project for turning what’s on your PC screen into a video. Good for a training video or similar.

Find a video on YouTube and copy the address e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOqOOYCrez0 now paste that address into the online ConvertTube.com application and save the video to your computer as a .mpg file.

You can now import that video into your free video editing software add some text ( especially your destination web address) and re-upload to YouTube. Is that ethical? That’s up to you I guess.

Istockphoto.com is a great place to go to get some professional images for a buck a throw to slot into your videos (which could just be a slideshow with some text and voice over or music) and there you go you’ve got a video without using a camera. Free music from Incompetech perhaps?
