Finding Google’s G-Spot

April 28, 2008

Don\'t make me angry!

Does Google like the way you’re slipping and sliding your sexy Web 2.0 marketing into its rankings or are you a ‘Wham, Bam, too much Spam’ kind of dodgy marketer/lover?

Treat Google with respect Big Boy, seduce it into giving you ranking love, and the Big Green will love you back and swallow whatever you give!

But do it properly. First thing to do is sign up for the Gurus Go Home short, sweet and to the point weekly news mail TO DO list, over there on the right of this page. No pressure, it’s all free info even though others are selling it and you can unsubscribe at any time. Bet you won’t though, this is dynamite info :-)

When the idea of using web 2.0 sites for marketing was first seriously mooted late last year many rushed at it in a stupid, over the top, way. Even today many Gurus are still shouting: “Automation!”, “Outsource!”.

I’m not convinced, slow and steady wins the day in my book. I want a sustainable business and sticky rankings for my keyword phrases and to get that I provide quality content on my web 2.0 sites. You know what? Google like that!

Yep, surprise surprise, Google actually like the sites they index to provide a bit of relevant content. They also like some web 2.0 sites more than others. That’s what the Gurus Go Home weekly mail covers - which web 2.0 sites Google goes gaga for ( OK, Yahoo too and running behind like some annoying baby brother, MSN) and the best way for you to exploit this, in such a nice caring way, that Google doesn’t feel taken advantage of. Be gentle!

If you want Google to ‘put out’ learn the right way to do this marketing thing and don’t be side-tracked by the latest Guru launch.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the Gurus Go Home RSS feed. That way you'll know when the site is next updated.
